New Zealand Cycle Trails

Updated: Oct 30, 2019

I'm always looking for ways to interact with nature and keep active. I avoid the word fit for obvious reasons. I find cycling very useful in my travel toolkit to achieve these goals. Welcome to my progressive blog where I will provide ongoing updates my cycling locations/trails and useful equipment. I don't actually own a cycle but rely on rentals depending where in the world I am.

  • The Awa River Ride

This ride is a 70 km, Waikato River side trail, that runs between Ngaruawahia and Horahora. I enjoy these trails regularly on rented e-bikes from River Riders. My routes include, the Hamilton to Ngaruawahia section, which is about 20km and, the Cambridge to Horahora section, which is also about 20km. These trips are very enjoyable experiences and only take me about 1 hour.
